FEM Engineer

Working as part of our engineering team you will be involved in a wide range of consultancy projects based on turbomachinery applications and general industry equipments. You should be able to work closely in a team environment, while at the same time independently driving projects to a successful conclusion. Strong interpersonal skills and solving problems attitude is required. 

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills:

Masters Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or closely related field with a sound knowledge of mechanical, physical and numerical principals (structural, fluid, thermal, fatigue, fracture, dynamics, creep, linear and non-linear analysis). A PhD in similar fields is beneficial, but not mandatory;
At least 2-5 years experience in FEA analysis;
Proven familiarity with Ansys and/or MSC Nastran solvers;
Knowledge of CAD and meshing tools (CATIA V5, NX,ANSA);
Experience in programming C and/or C++ is an advantage;
Excellent documentation and presentation skills.

Senior Metallurgist Engineer

At the present we are looking for people able to work on projects aimed at designing and developing turbomachinery components and systems. In particular we are seeking a Metallurgist Engineer which will be responsible for supporting materials related issues. This role will demonstrate accountability for functional and company objectives, and will contribute to the overall strategy and manage complex issues.

Essential Responsibilities:

Support engineering departments in materials and coatings selection of components for various applications (turbine vanes and blades, combustion chamber flame tube, etc.); 
Support materials selection for new product development;
Investigate and determine applications for new materials and coatings;
Coordinate failure analysis of metallic materials and coatings;
Develop and maintain Engineering Materials and Process Specifications. These specifications include but are not limited to: metallic materials, metallic and non-metallic coatings, heat treating, hardness testing, and Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) processes;
Maintain material compliance to customer requirements and industry standards, including ASME, API, NACE, etc.

Qualifications/Requirements: 

MSc in Metallurgy/Materials Science Engineering, or other technical discipline from an accredited institution; 
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Metallurgy, Welding, or related field;
Experience with raw materials manufacturing including forgings, castings, wrought products,
and heat treating;
Experience with corrosion control, including use of coatings protection;
Experience in material for high temperature application;
Experience in Root Cause Failure Analysis;
Experience in Fatigue and Life Cycle Analysis;
Knowledge of Industry Standards, including ASME, API, NACE MR0175;
Strong organization & problem solving abilities;
Strong customer mindset;
Strong oral and written communication skills.

CFD Engineer

Working as part of our engineering team you will be involved in a wide range of consultancy projects, that is, turbomachinery applications, combustion simulations, external aerodynamics, thermal analysis. You should be able to work closely in a team environment, while at the same time independently driving consultancy projects to a successful conclusion.

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills:

Education to a post graduate level in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field with a sound knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer; a PhD in a similar field is beneficial, but not mandatory;
At least 2-5 years experience in CFD analysis;
Familiarity with the application of commercial CFD codes (ANSYS CFX, FLUENT, STAR-CCM+);
Knowledge and/or familiarity with CAD and meshing tools (CATIA V5, SOLIDEDGE, ANSA, GAMBIT);
Experience using OpenFOAM CFD codes and programming in C, C++, Fortran and JAVA is an advantage;
Excellent documentation and presentation skills.

Senior Combustion Chamber Design Engineer (Requires experience working with Siemens and/or GE technologies)

At the present we are looking for people able to work on projects aimed at designing and developing turbomachinery components and systems. In particular we are seeking a Senior Engineer experienced in GT combustion chamber design which will:

Essential Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise and vision in the field of Combustion Technology and Systems;
Develop new combustion design methodologies;
Model combustion systems using commercial engineering analysis tools, or by developing state-of-the-art computational combustion methods;
Provide regular mentoring and coaching to less experience engineers.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related disciplines with at least 5 years of relevant experience;
  • In-depth knowledge of combustion, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and reaction chemistry;
  • Previous experience in gas turbine combustion and emissions, including: fuel/air premixing systems, autoignition, flame propagation in complex fuel mixtures, combustion kinetics & chemistry, fuel injection, and modeling of combustion systems;
  • Experienced in GT Combustion Chamber Design and Analysis (Annular / Cannular / Silo);
  • Basics in GT LowNox Burner Design;
  • Experienced in thermo-acoustic instabilities in GT Combustion Chamber;
  • Experienced in material for high temperature application;
  • Knowledge in treatment of different kind of fuels;
  • Industrial background in developing engineering simulation/analysis tools;
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate, model and provide critical insight into complex physical phenomena relating to Combustion Science;
  • Demonstrated project leadership experience, including successful track record of completing deliverables on schedule and under budget;

  • Experienced in Thermal/Stress analysis, Dynamic analysis and Vibration, Creep analysis,
  • Fatigue and Fracture and in managing FEA tools;

3D CAD Designer

At the present we are looking for people able to work on projects aimed at designing and developing turbomachinery components and systems. In particular we are seeking a CAD Design Engineers which will be responsible for designing products using computer-aided design software applications such as Unigraphics NX. He will handle the most complex aspects of the design process; sometimes he will also have to develop and make design improvements based on prototype testing. He will work closely with design and analyst engineers in order to implement and develop their products.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Graduate Mechanical Technician or Technologist, or equivalent related experience;
  • Great experience in 3D environments, particularly Unigraphics NX;
  • Results-oriented individual;
  • Capable of working independently, while effectively contributing to the overall business objectives in a team environment;
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines;
  • Experience in detailed mechanical design for turbomachinery field is required.
