The value of ISO 9001: 2015 and our New Certification

CFD Engineering has redefined corporate strategies to grow the business and ensure to its organization a sustainable future.

The directions, going beyond the objective pursued until now solely concentrated for the Customer’s satisfaction, is engaged in the role of identifying and managing all the assets that influence the company’s business in a relevant way through an approach based on risk management (Risk based Thinking).

The transition to the new UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015 standard has not been experienced as a pure transition but has been configured as a virtuous path that CFD Engineering has started manage business with maximum awareness.

In date 12/12/2017 the verification of our new Quality Management System according to the new UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015 standard was carried out by the Swiss accredited institution IAS REGISTER. The verification was successful and we received the new Certificate of Conformity.

3D CAD Designer – Job posting

We are looking for an expert 3D CAD Designer to be involved in current and new projects in the energy and industrial field.

In particular we are seeking for a CAD Designer with experience in turbomachinery applications and general industrial equipment, both for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.

The 3D CAD Designer will be responsible for product design by using Siemens NX and other computer-aided design software applications and will have to cooperate with the other engineers of the project team.


  • Graduate Mechanical Technician or Technologist, or equivalent related experience;
  • Extensive experience in 3D CAD environment: 3D CAD modeling, 2D drafting and definition of manufacturing tolerances (Siemens NX, Solid Edge);
  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years of previous experience in 3D CAD modelling is required;
  • Experience in detailed mechanical design for turbomachinery field is a plus;
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines;
  • Capable of working independently, while effectively contributing to the overall business objectives in a team environment;
  • Results-oriented individual.



Mechanical design engineer – Job posting

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer that can work on projects aimed to design and develop turbomachinery applications and general industrial equipment.

In particular we are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer which can provide consultation and technical direction to the engineering community on short-medium term projects.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical designs for turbomachinery components and main industry related parts;
  • Integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization;
  • Execute design, analysis and evaluation of assigned projects by using sound engineering FEM principles and observing international standards, practices, procedures and product /program requirements;
  • Basic 3D CAD modeling and 2D drafting;
  • Provide technical guidance to other personnel and mentor others in the organization;
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures;
  • Work closely with Designers and check internal and sub vendor drawings to insure design accuracy and compliance with customer specifications;
  • Review, interpret and design in accordance with customer specifications.



  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or closely related fields with a sound knowledge of mechanical, physical and numerical principles (thermo-mechanical, creep, fatigue, static and modal analysis);
  • Minimum of 3 to 4 year of previous experience in FEM/FEA analysis is required;
  • Background in turbomachinery is highly recommended;
  • Proven experience in Ansys and/or NX Nastran solvers;
  • Proven experience in basic 3D CAD tools (e.g. Siemens NX, Solid Edge) and 2D drafting;
  • Proven experience in meshing tools (e.g. Workbench, Ansa);
  • Proven experience in programming C and/or C++ is a plus;
  • A PhD degree is a plus;
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English;
  • Capable of working independently, while effectively contributing to the overall business objectives in a team environment;
  • Excellent documentation and presentation skills.
